LAUNCHING OF ASEAN PUBLICATION IN MADRID

21 September 2023, Madrid, Spain - Philippine Ambassador to Spain and Chairman of the ASEAN Committee in Madrid (ACM) Philippe J. Lhuillier led the launching of a special publication on ASEAN on 19 September 2023 at the Torre Emperador in Madrid.

Published by Revista Diplomacia, a magazine that focuses on diplomacy and international relations, and the Academia de la Diplomacia in Spain, the publication features articles and information on ASEAN focusing on its role as the engine for collaboration and progress in East Asia.

In his remarks, Ambassador Lhuillier highlighted how ASEAN serves as a beacon of unity and cooperation due to its diversity in culture, history and socio-economic backgrounds. Thus, ASEAN can be a model for how nations can come together, put aside differences and work collectively towards shared goals and prosperity.

Meanwhile, Mr. Angel Piña, Global Chief Commercial and Marketing Officer of Grupo Emperador and host of the event, attributes the company's success to knowing the Asian palate when it comes to brandy and other spirits. He reminded the Ambassadors that Grupo Emperador is an Asian company and as such, the ASEAN Group will always have a home in Torre Emperador. 

Aside from hosting the launching event, Grupo Emperador is the main sponsor of the special publication on ASEAN.
