The Philippine Embassy in Spain officers and staff trained on first-aid and emergency response conducted by the Emergency Response Team (ERT) headed by Mr. John Matthew Villapol and supporting trainors from the group. This was conducted yesterday, 27 April 2024 at the Centro de Filipinas en Madrid. All Embassy personnel and their family members were given important information on how to deal with various emergency situations, which would be helpful when faced with real emergency calls.
The training session include topics such as assessing the emergency scene, assessing and managing airways, massive bleeding and wound care management, fractures and sprains, hands-only CPR, question and answer and hands-on demo/practice.
Leaders of all Filipino associations in Spain are encouraged to also undergo similar training sessions for their members to make them be prepared when urgent matters arise whenever they may be - at work, outside, or at home. END
